Project Content:

Sectoral Foreign Trade Teams organized by the Central Finance and Contracts Unit under the title of Supporting Youth Employment Grant Scheme and Sectoral Foreign Trade Teams organized by İDÇİB, a university graduate selected from İskenderun region, trained 50 young people within the determined curriculum and one of the most successful 20 And specialized in foreign trade in Iron and Steel Sector.

Goals of the Project:

The main objective of the project is; In the project which is the training of intermediary personnel for the needs of regional companies, Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry project partner and the Export Development Study Center have supported IDCB as an associate. In this context, project coordinator, Asst. Assoc. Dr. Following the 10 week intensive training program organized by Ayşenur TOPÇUOĞLU, one exam was conducted and the most successful 20 trainees were selected and qualified for the second stage of the project. In the second stage, the trainees practiced the training they received by pairing with the regional companies after their personal training. During the 23 week internship period, trainees were expected to make the necessary contacts to participate in international fairs, to benefit from the incentives, and to export at least one container. In addition to the trainings for the realization of these expectations, the project has also included information raising and exploration trips, including the Dutch institutions. With the completion of the training and internship period, participation certificates will be given to the trainees and then the closing of the project will be realized with the closing meeting with the participation of the press and all.

Results of the Project:

Between 2010 and 2011, 50 young unemployed university graduates have been trained in Hatay. In addition to this, they have also been given important training in personal development and language issues.The project is completed with 20 young successes. These young people have become fully equipped with the trainings given. Foreign trade experts needed by the Hatay region were trained on this site.Within this project, which is a mistake, the lack of required qualifications has been eliminated. These 20 participant students were employed by our sector supported by the project and the SMEs of our region located in the Antakya, Payas and İskenderun Organized Industrial Zones in the iron and steel field. Some of these firms have offered to employ our students as interns.
