Project Purpose:
To organize training programs in order to increase Foreign Trade Capacity of exporting members of Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Final Beneficiaries and Target Groups of the Project: Eastern Mediterranean Development Agency Technical Assistance Program targets the target groups of the project: “Finding New Markets in Exports and Winning Effective Qualifications”; Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a member of exporting and exporting members, personnel working in these firms, personnel of Customs Brokerage Companies and employees of Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The final beneficiaries are; Trainees will participate in these enterprises, the raw materials and semi-finished suppliers of these enterprises, the customers of these enterprises, the foreign trade personnel involved in the training of these enterprises and the staff of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iskenderun. A total of 29 participants, including 17 women and 12 men, participated in the training. The training was carried out in accordance with its objectives.

Project Progression Phase: During the planning stage of the training activity, participants were informed by making an announcement on the official website of our room, sending SMS and e-mail to the exporter members of our room, and opening an individual telephone.

Project Issues: Project topics are listed below.

Day 1: Creating an Export Strategy (Job Description, Partitioning in the Export Market, Positioning of the Operator for Export Market)

Day 2: Finding New Markets and Converting Information (Market and Market Research Techniques, Database and Information Sources for Export Market Research, Analysis Techniques for Export Intelligence and Data)

Day 3: Retention Strategies in Export Markets (Intercultural interaction and negotiation techniques, INCOTERMS in Export and INCOTERMS) and export financing and government incentives are explained in detail in the training and have been carried out in accordance with the training curriculum.

Performance Indicators of the Project: The project, targeted as 25 people, was realized as 29 people due to the intense interest and requests of the participants. The training lasted 18 hours, 3 days and 6 hours, and the realization time of the application period was 100%. There were no problems in the preparation, implementation and conclusion of the project.
