As is known, the registration of construction equipment is carried out in accordance with Highway Traffic Law No. 2918, the Highway Traffic Regulation, the Regulation on the Sale, Transfer, and Registration Services of Vehicles, and the Principles Regarding the Registration of Construction Equipment. When registering construction equipment, chassis numbers are used to distinguish them. Recently, numerous complaints have been submitted to our Association regarding the fact that the chassis numbers of construction equipment registered in the Construction Equipment Information System (IMBS) are the same as those of newly registered construction equipment. To address this issue, necessary development work has been initiated on the IMBS to ensure that the chassis numbers declared during construction equipment registration comply with the standard published by the International Organization for Standardization and declared as the Turkish Standard by the Turkish Standards Institute under the number "TS ISO 10261." Following the completion of the improvements made to the Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMBS), it will be mandatory for all construction equipment to be registered to have a 17-digit chassis number and comply with the "TS ISO 10261" standard.
