In the letter sent to our Union by the Ministry of Trade; it is reported that the European Commission has initiated a consultation process regarding the inclusion of certain steel products within the scope of the EU Steel Regulation No. 2026/1384, which entered into force on July 1, 2026. In this context, it is stated that it is important for relevant stakeholders to submit their institutional opinions to the European Commission by September 28, 2026, in order to determine the possible effects of the inclusion of these products within the scope of the Regulation on our country"s exports. Furthermore, the opinions and assessments submitted to the European Commission should also be shared with the Ministry of Trade (to abkurumsal@ticaret.gov.tr) and our Union (to elif.serdengecti@tobb.org.tr) for coordination purposes.
