Stating that they continue to support taxpayers in the earthquake region in every way, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek informed that a decision was made to extend the force majeure status of taxpayers in Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Malatya, and Gaziantep"s İslahiye and Nurdağı districts with a turnover of less than 2.5 million liras as of the end of 2022 to November 30, and reminded that if this decision had not been made, the period would have expired on May 31. Şimşek stated that the decision covers 80 percent of taxpayers in the earthquake zone and that the law does not allow for a new extension of time.
