In the letter sent to our Union from the Ministry of Trade; it was announced that the feedback process regarding a draft regulation determining the procedures and principles for the disclosure of information on unsold consumer products that are destroyed regarding the implementation of the "Ecodesign Regulation for Sustainable Products No. 2024/1781" (ESPR) by the European Commission has been initiated.
Within the scope of the draft regulation, in order to deter the destruction of unsold consumer products, companies, except for micro and small enterprises, are expected to disclose certain information on product destruction. It is envisaged that the information will be shared through public reports and verified by independent auditors. In addition, a list of product types within the scope of the regulation is included in the annex of the draft text.
