The attached letter, sent to our Association by the Ministry of Trade, states that promotional and user manuals and warranty documents are not issued for various products offered to consumers in the furniture sector. Companies are not providing consumers with their warranty rights in accordance with the legislation, and that this has resulted in consumer grievances. It also states that companies that fail to comply with relevant legislation may be subject to administrative fines, in accordance with Article 77 of Law No. 6502, depending on the type of violation detected. In this regard, to prevent consumer grievances and to prevent administrative sanctions from being imposed on your members operating in the furniture sector during future audits, I request that you take the necessary action to ensure that your established processes and practices are brought into compliance with the legislation.
