ITSO President Levent Hakki Yilmaz who made the opening speech of the seminar organized in the ITSO Assembly Hall Halil Şahin: “Hatay is located in the 1st Degree earthquake zone and also experienced the devastating effects of the earthquake. In addition, when the heavy rainfall is observed in our region, the flood happens. In addition to the risk of earthquakes and floods, the chimneys of the houses and factories fly during periods when the wind is showing a strong effect. These natural disasters in our region cause loss of life and property, affect our social and commercial life negatively.”
ISADER President Yasin Keles: “insurance awareness against natural disasters must be established”
ISADER President Yasin Keles in the seminar by taking the word: “As an association, our aim is to ensure the unity of the members, to participate in social responsibility projects and to create insurance awareness in our region. Climate change at the global level are also one of the largest natural disasters are concerned about insurance in Turkey. Even if these risks occur less frequently in the life of people or institutions, they cause severe damage when they occur. It is necessary to create an educated and conscious society in order to avoid such situations.”

After the speeches, Prof.Dr.Şükrü Ersoy, President of Yıldız Technical University Natural Science Research Center, with supported the cine-vision: Gave information about “Iskenderun Environment Disaster Potential”… Prof. Dr. Ersoy noted that Hatay is located on the seismic belt: “Earthquake does not kill, neglect kills. Therefore, taking the precautionary structure and necessary precautions beforehand will minimize the deaths and possible material damages in possible natural disasters. Recently, natural disasters are increasing due to global warming; horses, tsunami, are increasing in natural disasters. Especially filled and flood disasters affect our lives negatively, causing material damage and loss of life. We cannot ignore the earthquake truth of Hatay and Iskenderun according to this truth. This awareness needs to be settled on strong bases, not to forget and be forgotten the truth of the earthquake by constantly sharing our cultural knowledge with the public. I would like to thank the ITSO officials for their sensitivity today.” Following the speeches, the meeting ended in the form of a question and answer session.
